Linda “Lin” Wylam Robinson, 78, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Alamance Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 22, 1946 in Johnson City, New York, she was the daughter of the late Eubert Aldrich Wylam and Edith Valentine Wylam. She was the devoted wife of Ernest Gilbert “Ernie” Robinson for 57 wonderful years.

Throughout her life, Lin was known for her deep love of family, which was evident in her role as a stay-at-home mom after she initially worked as a sales assistant for Merrill Lynch. Her passion for nurturing continued when she began volunteering at the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, where her dedication and enthusiasm led to a part-time position in the education programs, allowing her to engage with children and share her affection for animals.

In addition to her commitment to family and community, Lin enjoyed playing tennis and was an avid golfer. She was actively involved in several ladies’ golf groups at Shamrock, Quarry Hills, Mill Creek, and the Challenge Golf Courses. Lin cherished her time at the beach, creating lasting memories with family and friends.

Lin is survived by her husband, Ernest “Ernie” Robinson; her son, Raleigh Robinson, and his wife Tammy; grandchildren, Nicole Daniel and Matthew Robinson; great-grandchildren, Hadley Daniel, Bristol Daniel and Camden Hundley; as well as her sister, Shannon Wylam.

In accordance with Lin's wishes, there will be no public memorial service. The family will hold a private service to honor her memory.

Memorial contributions may be made to the North Carolina Zoological Society, www.nczoo.com or to the Carolinas Golf Association, www.carolinasgolf.org
