Linda Foushee

Mebane - Linda Yeatts Foushee, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 2, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. A native of Caswell County, she was born August 31, 1945 to the late Jack Harvey and Rebecca Oakley Yeatts and was the wife of 52 years to Rainey Warren Foushee of the home.

Linda was a longtime member of Carr United Methodist Church where she played the piano for nearly 50 years. She was employed with Caswell County Schools for 37 years before retiring. Linda enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son, Rodrick Foushee and wife Mary Ellen of Burlington; daughter, Kimberly Foushee Yarbrough and husband Randy of Mebane; a brother, Jack Yeatts and wife Rose of Aldie, VA; grandchildren, Grant Yarbrough, Garrett Yarbrough, Chase Foushee and Morgan Foushee. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Billy Ronald Yeatts and James Albert Yeatts.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Carr United Methodist Church by Rev. Ronnie Byrd with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215 or to the Carr UMC Building Fund, 420 Jack Yeatts Rd., Mebane, NC 27302.
