Lillie Woodard

Burlington Lillie Rose Johnson Woodard, 75, of Cates Ave., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Johnston County to the late Jay Allen Johnson and Lula Irene Wood Johnson and was married to the late Russell Franklin Woodard. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was formerly employed by Culp Weaving. She is survived by her children, Susan Allen Fox of Matthews, Janet Tracy Reed of Burlington, Darlene Crenshaw of Graham, Danny Karen Woodard of Burlington and Adolph Susie Woodard of Snow Camp; siblings, Jesse Johnson of Wilson Mills and Joyce Edwards of Smithfield; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters, Lois Allen, Annie Mae Allen and Pat Byrd, and a brother, LeRoy Johnson. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Mr. Phil Sutton with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
