Lillian Walker

Lillian Morris Ashley Walker, 88, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 14, 2009 at White Oak Manor. Mrs. Walker was born February 11, 1921 in Halifax County, N.C. to the late William Earnest Morris and Kate King Morris. She was first married to the late Mr. Roy Ashley and then to her 2nd husband the late Rev. Harvey Walker. Lillian was retired from Kayser- Roth; she was a former member of Piedmont Baptist Church and a current member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church. She also volunteered as a pink lady at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Survivors include a sister, Gladys Caulder Curasi of Mebane; special nieces and caregivers, Euell Jean Fitzpatrick of Kernersville, Sheila Duggins of Graham, Darlene Morgan of Graham, Connie Bradshaw of Efland, and Phyllis Riddle of Graham. She also had many other nieces and nephews that loved her. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by both husbands; two sisters, Helen Morris, and Pauline Ingram; two brothers, Marvin B. Morris and William Ernest Morris, Jr. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at Andrews Memorial Baptist Church Chapel by Dr. Tommy Willis. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 12:30-1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Larry and Sheila Duggins 700 Sycamore Rd. Graham.
