Lillian Culberson

Lillian Richardson Culberson, 85, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2016 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital. She was born on December 24, 1930 in Pittsylvania County, VA to the late James E. Richardson and Lula Harris Richardson; and was the wife to the late Robert Edward Culberson and the late W.J. Roberts.

Lillian retired after 35 years with Burlington Industries. She was a member of Harvest Hills Church of God.

Lillian is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Ann Culberson; grandchildren and spouses, Christopher and Anthony Culberson, Courtney and Ross Whittington; great grandchildren, Lucas, Owen and Bennett Culberson and Eli Whittington; step son, Mike and Phyllis Roberts; a brother, Dale Richardson. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; parents; sisters, Esther Workman and Thelma Carver; brothers, Charles and Joel Richardson.

The funeral service will be held 11:30 am Friday, October 28, 2016 at Harvest Hills Church of God by Dr. Russell Morris, Rev. Troy Rushing and Rev. Don Braswell. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:30am to 11:15am prior to the service at the church. The burial will be at Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery.
