Leslie "Les" James Bolton, 96, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2018, at the Hospice Home surrounded by his family. Les was born April 10, 1922, in Surry England to the late John Edward and Charlotte Dove Bolton. He was married to Margaret "Peggy" Wilson Andersen Bolton who survives and his late first wife Jean Bolton. Les served in the U.S. Navy during WW II on a destroyer. Following his discharge he received his U.S. Citizenship in 1948. He was a member of Beacon Baptist Church. Les enjoyed fixing things and helping others in ways his Lord enabled him. He was always glad to see you and had a smile on his face. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife Peggy A. Bolton; children, Kim and Bruce Beall, Wayne and Marty Andersen, Lynn and George Smith, Beth and Nathan Iman, John and Debbie Andersen, David and Eunjoo Andersen, Margie and Steve Reynolds; 21 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, a granddaughter Krista Andersen, a brother John Bolton and a sister Helen Walker.
The service to celebrate his life will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, December 30, 2018, at Beacon Baptist Church. Interment will follow at a later date in Lakeview Memorial Park.
The family will greet friends following the service.
Due to his love for foreign missions his request, though he loved flowers, was to give towards the Beacon Missionary Fund.
