Leondas Ray Neese, Jr.

Whitsett – Leondas Ray Neese, Jr., 63, passed away peacefully at his residence on  Sunday, February 16, 2025 after several months of failing health. A native of Guilford County, he was born September 13, 1961, to Leondas Ray Neese, Sr. and the late Sandra Carson Rudd.

He is survived by his father, Leondas Ray Neese, Sr.; sister, Sharon Neese Edmiston (Mike); nephew, Carson Edmiston; niece, Katie Edmiston (Zach Bradshaw) and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and extended family. He is preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Carson Rudd and his brother, Charles Martin Neese.

Ray enjoyed being active spending time working in the yard, fishing with his dad, playing pool and having fun with his friends. He spent many years studying martial arts and successfully participating in competitions. He enjoyed working with his colleagues at Superior Mechanical Inc. and always took pride in the work they did.

A service to celebrate Ray’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ (2400 Mt. Hope Church Rd, Whitsett, NC 27377) with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45pm – 1:45pm prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.
