Leonard Tyll

Burlington, NC Leonard "Lenny" Thomas Tyll, age 63 was born to eternal life Sunday, September 5, 2010. He was the son of the late Stephen and Rhea DeWitt Tyll. He was married on August 31, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan to Sharon Czarnik and together they raised their loving family in North Carolina. Lenny was employed for 35 years as an Engineer Associate with AT&T/Lucent. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and he taught and coached at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Elementary School for over eight years. He was a magnificent man, focused on faith, family and love; he will be missed by everyone and by the many children he taught and coached over the years. Survivors include his wife of 42 years , Sharon Czarnick Tyll of the home; daughter, Michelle Tyll and her fiance, Joey Berry of Little River, SC; son, David Tyll and his wife, Jennifer of Hillsborough, NC; 4 grandchildren, Jasper, Ashlyn, Violet and Daphne Tyll all of Hillsborough, NC. He is further survived by siblings, Richard Flora J. Tyll, Stephen Dawn Tyll, Cynthia Schoenrock, Lillian Ed Kozlowski, Bernard Tyll and several nieces and nephews of Michigan. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament School's Computer Lab, which was so dear to Len's heart at 515 Hillcrest Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215.
