Leonard Strickland

GRADY STRICKLAND Leonard Grady Strickland, age 80, of 1359 Stone St., passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Hospice Home. A native of Tunnel Hill, Ga, he was the husband of Peggy Jean Neese Strickland. Grady was a member of the American Legion and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was a route salesman for Coca Cola Bottling Co. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Jean Neese Strickland of the home; daughter, Carol S. Smith and husband Garland of Liberty; sons, Keith Strickland of Mebane, Curtis Strickland of Snow Camp and Kenneth Strickland of Indianapolis, IN; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tammy Demick and sister, Mary Alice Smith. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, August 28, 2013 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. John Shields. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mr. Strickland will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory through the funeral service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 until 10:45 Wednesday, prior to the funeral service. At other times the family will be at the residence. Following the interment service, the family will return to Lowe Funeral Home where they will host a reception for family and friends.
