Lena Stainback

Burlington, NC Mrs. Lena Lee Bryant Stainback, age 95, formerly of Chapel Hill Road went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 15, 2006 at Wesley Long Hospital. She was a native of Chatham County and the daughter of the late Joseph and Ida Brown Bryant. Lena retired from Isley Knitting Mills and was a member of Pilgrim Chapel Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Larry W. Stainback of Burlington and James M. And Lynda Stainback of Atlantic, NC; Grandchildren, Mark Stainback and Julie Stainback Cates; great grandchildren; Melody Cates, Zachary Cates, Phillip Cates and Grant Stainback; Sisters, Modis B. Lloyd and Gertrude Way both of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Tommy Thomas Stainback; parents and four sisters and four brothers. The funeral services will be held on Monday, July 17, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Mike Jones and the burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home of the son, Larry Stainback, 308 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
