Lena Lee

Lena Bell Jones Lee, 86, of 371 Brafford Lane passed away Monday, November 28, 2005 at Alamance Regional Medical Center following a year of declining health. She was the widow of the late Walter Wayne Lee and the daughter of the late John Henry and Ida Lee Washington Jones. Lena was a native of Merriweather, Ga, and retired from Monarch Hosiery Mill. She attended Baynes Baptist Church, Bethel United Church of Christ and The Friendship Senior Center. Survivors include her daughter Maria Lee Fowler and her husband Ronnie of the home, grandchildren; Christie Beagle and her husband Rodney of Burlington, Michelle Fowler Rudd of Burlington, great grandchildren; Drew Beagle, Dillon Beagle and Dawson Rudd all of Burlington, sisters; Pearl Bates of Jonesboro, GA and Kate Rogers of Hopewell, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters; Dee Smith, Sue Trice, brothers; Leon Nathaniel Jones, Hewlitte Jones, Will Tom Jones, great granddaughters Makayla Beagle and Courtney Beagle. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Scott Williams. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home.
