Lena Brooks

HILLSBOROUGH- Mrs. Lena M. "Lee" Brooks, 92, of Carillon Assisted Living, died Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Chapel Hill Rehabilitation and Health Care after several weeks of failing health. A native of Passaic County, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maria Mingoia and was married for over fifty years to Elliot T. Brooks, who survives. Lee was a longtime Girl Scout leader, on the board of the Little Falls Historical Society, past president of the Great Notch Association and a member of St. Phillips Catholic Church in Clifton, NJ. Mrs. Brooks is survived by her husband, Elliot of Carillon Assisted Living and a daughter, Judith Brooks of Graham. The family will be having a memorial service at a later date.
