Leighton Law

Leighton Landis Law, 73, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home. He was born in Alamance County and was the son of the late Taft David Law and Rosa Mae Stone Law. Leighton was a member of City Lake Baptist Church. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant serving during the Vietnam War. Leighton was an avid hunter and Tar Heel fan.
He is survived by his brother, Raymond David (Rita) Law and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Connie Andrew "Andy" Law Knight.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to his caregiver, Teifny Justice.
