Leathie Moore

Leathie Bell Smith Moore, 86, formerly of Hanover Rd. passed away Monday, September 3, 2007 at the Hospice Home. She was the wife of the late John Willis Moore and the daughter of the late Thomas Franklin and Mandy Ellenberg Smith. Leathie was a homemaker and was a former employee of Walkers Hosiery. She was a member of Riverdale Baptist Church and a member of the Ladies Bible Class. Survivors include daughters-in-law: Gladys Manning Moore of Burlington, Ann Ruth Reeves Moore of Roxboro, two grandchildren; Jerry Moore of Charlotte, Kelly Dew of Roxboro, several step grandchildren, several step great grandchildren, several step great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sons; John Franklin Moore, Milton Douglas Moore, sisters; Gracie Pullen, Viola Abercrombie, Iva Johnson, brothers; Chester Smith and Buster Smith, half sisters; Mattie White, Evie Freeman and two great grandsons. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Riverdale Baptist Church by Rev. Jim Hall and Jimmy Goodson. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
