Burlington - Lawrence Francis "Larry" Lambert, 70 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at his home. He was born in Leominster, MA and was the son of the late Paul and Virginia Besol Lambert. Larry was married for 49 years to Jacqueline "Jackie" Fortson Lambert who survives.

Larry joined the US Air Force and served as an aircraft mechanic and later as an air traffic controller. He retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years, serving during the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Air Force he was employed at different times as a corporate pilot, flight instructor, FAA Ground Controller and FAA Inspector. He retired from the FAA in 2008. Larry was also a graduate and instructor at Embry Riddle University. He was a member of Dayspring Baptist Church. Larry actively served different roles in various churches but had a special fondness for the audio-visual area. He also enjoyed woodworking and was a stained glass artisan in his spare time. He was a loving, devoted Christian husband, father and grandfather. As a continual source of help and leadership for his family he will be sorely missed.

Survivors include his wife of the home; daughter, Bonnie Rosenberg and husband, Bryan of Mebane; sons, Brian Lambert and wife, Monica of Mebane, Chad Lambert and wife, Jill of Chapel Hill and Todd Lambert of Charleston, SC; grandchildren, Will, Erika, Noah, Ethan, Ben and Hannah Lambert; twins, Matthew and Rachel Rosenberg; sister, Renee Place and husband, Arthur "Red" of Fitchburg, MA and a brother, Jimmy Lambert of Naples, FL.

A service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Larry Redding and the family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. The US Air Force will provide military honors at the service.
