Lawrence "Larry" Kastner, 77, passed away Monday at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born February 3, 1940 in St. Louis, MO to the late Lawrence J. Kastner, Sr. and Hermina Studnicka Kastner. He was married to Martha Rosen Kastner for 54 years. Larry served in the US Army and he was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church where he served as the Building Committee Chairman and lecturer. He was an avid horseman and enjoyed outside activities. Traveling with his wife all over the country was one of his passions as well as cooking for others. Family was most important to him and he was very involved with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts as an adult leader for many years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife; daughter, Barbara Ray; sons, Greg (Brianna) Kastner, Mike (Tasha) Kastner; grandchildren, Ashley, Andrew, Ben, Nick, Noah; a sister Mary Ann (Leonard) Sanneman and his beloved animals.
There will be a service to celebrate his life at a later date.
