Lawrence Dalmata, Sr.

Lawrence Joseph “Larry” Dalmata, Sr., 74, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Alamance Health Care following several months of failing health.  He was born in Fulton County, NY on November 13, 1944 to the late John Edward and Helen Selufsky Dalmata.

Larry served in the US Marine Corps and worked for Westcott Buick for many years. He possessed a strong work ethic, had a gift of storytelling and was known for his kind and sweet spirit. He raced modified stock cars, specifically #644 and was an avid NASCAR and Dallas Cowboy fan.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.

Survivors include his son, Lawrence Joseph “LJ” Dalmata, Jr. (Emily); daughter, Raina Gardner; grandchildren, Maddie Dalmata, Ryan Gardner, Jacob Gardner; sister, Edalenia Davenport (Arthur); brother, Raymond Dalmata (Barbara); nieces, Dana Heilemann, Amber Baia and nephews, Walt Boynton, Craig Boynton and John Dalmata.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Claudia Watson.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Grinnell.  A visitation with reception will follow at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association-National Direct Response Headquarters, 1200 Hosford Street, Suite 101, Hudson, WI 54016-9316.
