Laura Hall

Burlington- Laura Lea Peed Hall, 65, passed away in the embrace of her loving family Monday, May 7, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Carl Lea Peed, Sr. and Mildred Long Vickers Peed and husband Ronald L. Hall who survives.
Laura was a much-loved wife, mother, sister, friend and educator who cared deeply for those around her. She will always be remembered for the unconditional love she showed others; her patient, selfless, generous and kind heart; her compassion; and her quick wit. Always the eternal optimist, she found the silver lining in every cloud and the good in every person. She used her forty-three-year gift of teaching to share her love for learning with many generations of children and inspire them to be mindful, considerate and gracious adults. This world is truly a better place because of the many lives she touched.
She was a retired teacher of the Alamance-Burlington School System and was recently teaching part-time at Smith Elementary School. She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Ronald L. Hall of the home; daughters, Julia Lea Hall Turner and husband Christopher Turner of Graham and Cara June Hall of the home; step-son, Ronald Alan Hall and wife Jenifer of Burlington; grand daughter, Scarlett Turner; step-grandsons, Austin Hall and Preston Hall and a brother Carl Lea Peed, Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter Amelia Grace "Millie" Turner.
The family would like to extend its gratitude to the caring staff at ARMC Cancer Center.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Grove Park Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Rodger Roach. Following the service, the family will receive friends in the sanctuary of the church.
