Larry Wade

Larry Keith Wade, 48, of Haw River went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at his home after a 3 and a half year battle with cancer. He was born in Alamance County and was the son of the late Brodie Banks Wade and Cardella C. Porter, who survives. He was married for 15 years to Jeannie Hunter Wade, also surviving. He was employed by Glen Raven for over 30 years. Larry was a loving son, husband and father who truly enjoyed spending time with his family and loved the outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie of the home, daughter, Trinity Hunter Wade of the home; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie Donna Wade of Haw River, Donald Rita Wade, Frankie Lisa Wade and Brodie "Junior" Wade, Jr., all of Burlington; mother, Cardella C. Porter of Burlington and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard "Bud" and Donna Hunter of Haw River. The funeral will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday at Carolina Christian Church by Pastors Mark Mitchell and Tommy Bright with interment to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home of Richard "Bud" and Donna Hunter, 113 N. Spray Place, Haw River. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" to Dr. Choksi, his nurses and staff and the nurses and staff of Hospice.
