Larry Phillips

Larry Leon Phillips, 73, of 2540 Ossipee Front St., town of Ossipee, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 at The Hospice Home following a lingering illness. He was born in Burlington on April 22, 1942 to the late Taft and Rhonda Evans Phillips. He was a retired salesman in electronics and electrical sales for over 20 years and a maintenance worker for over 17 years. Sometimes he was in such pain, he prayed for God to take him home. God put people in front of him to witness to and he realized that his witness was his most important job. Survivors include his wife Carol June Saul Phillips of the home; children, Penny P. Medley and husband Sam, Sandy P. Etheridge and husband Rodney; grandchildren, Larry Robert "Robbie" Medley and Sydney Nichole Medley, Ze Ze Etheridge and Ave` Etheridge. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 42 years, Vera Strickland Phillips A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Thomas Coble.
