Larry Miles

Robert Larry Miles, 82, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.  He was born on January 4, 1938 in Alamance County to the late Robert “Ed” Miles and Celestia “Lessie” Rudd Miles and was the husband of 60 years to Rebecca Swinney Miles who survives.

Larry retired from Collins & Aikman. He was a member of First Christian UCC in Burlington, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially attending his granddaughter’s softball games.

Survivors other than his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Miles include sons, Bobby Miles, Scott (Amy) Miles, David (Karen) Miles and Kevin (Amy) Miles; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ethan, Taylor, Makayla, Annie and Christian Miles; great grandson, Dakota McConnell; sisters, Christine Blanchard and Jerry (Fred) Hoffman; numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter-in-law, Penny Levan Miles; a brother, Vernon Miles and a sister, Sarah Hoffman.

A private service for the family will be held by Rev. Nathaniel Hobbs.  Live streaming of the service will be available at 2:00pm Sunday at www.lowefuneralhome.com. There will be a private graveside service at Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will be at the residence.
