Lake Wrenn Blalock, age 61, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 1, 2013. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of 21 years to Harold James Blalock who survives. Lake was a parking enforcement officer with the town of Elon and a member of Nall Memorial Baptist Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a past member of the ABWA. Lake was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Haw River Fire Department. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Harold J. Blalock of the home; sons, John Moore and his wife, Alli of Midland, Texas and Warren Moore of Burlington; grandsons, Truman and Lawson Moore and her sister, Blanche Wrenn of Burlington; special companions her dogs, "Nelson" and "Rascal." She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren Ellis and Frances Delia Parrish Wrenn. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, July 4th at 11:00 am at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Frederick Bunts and the burial will follow at Haw River Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm on Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the home. The family requests that the members of the Elon Police Department serve as Honorary Pallbearers and reserved seating will be provided at the service.
