Mrs. Kitty Lowe Apple, age 96, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 20, 1928 in Alamance County to the late Daniel Rankin and Daisy Truitt Lowe. She was the wife of the late William Elton Apple.
Kitty retired from Carolina Biological Supply after 36 years. She was a member of Lighthouse Bible Church and was a former choir member. Kitty loved cooking for her family, gardening and snapping beans. In her younger years she enjoyed traveling and going on bus tours. She especially loved going on beach trips with her family and loved collecting sea shells and rocks. In the last year, she enjoyed going out to eat, especially to Skids to get a cheese dog. She was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Sandra Key Apple of Elon; grandson, Jeffery Apple and wife, Donna; great granddaughters, Anna Apple Paschal and husband, Tyler and Brooke Apple Layton and husband, Robert and great great granddaughter, Oaklynn “Oakie” Grace Paschal.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ronnie Lee Apple; husband; parents and brothers, Willie Lowe, Vance Lowe, Blair Lowe, Ralph Lowe, Clyde Lowe and Johnny Lowe; sisters, Alma L. Andrews, Lillian L. Apple and Katherine Lowe.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 2:00PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park by Pastor Josh House. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45PM prior to the service on Thursday and other times at the home.
