Amy Elizabeth Huskey, 27 and her daughter, Khloe Addyson Cox, 2, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 in an automobile accident. A native of Alamance County, Amy was the daughter of Kenneth Lynn and Elizabeth Ann Church Huskey who survive and was engaged to Dennis William Cox of the home. Amy was a daycare worker at Step by Step Daycare and was of the Lutheran faith. She was a loving fiance, mother and daughter. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters and was a daddy's girl. Amy is survived by her fiance, parents, daughters, Kadence Marie Cox and Kaley Faith Cox; brother, Michael Richard Huskey of Gibsonville; sisters-in-law, Kelly Smith and husband, Chris of Reidsville, Amanda Kay Cox and Jennifer Gourley, both of Burlington; brothers-in-law, Kevin Marshall Cox and wife, Ashley and Brian Campbell, both of Burlington; father-in-law, Dennis Marshall Cox and wife, Julie Lynn; mother-in-law, Joanna Kay Evans and husband, Johnny; paternal grandmother, Bonnie Huskey; maternal grandfather, Mike Church and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Clyde Richard Huskey; maternal grandmother, Judith Church and her mother-in-law, Wendy Kay Cox. Khloe leaves behind her father, Dennis William Cox; sisters, Kadence Marie Cox and Kaley Faith Cox; maternal grandparents, Kenneth Lynn and Elizabeth Ann Church Huskey; paternal grandparents, Dennis Marshall Cox and wife, Julie Lynn and Joanna Kay Evans and husband, "Papaw" Johnny; maternal great grandmothers, Bonnie Huskey and Brenda Kay Eakes; maternal great grandfather, Mike Church; uncles, Michael Richard Huskey, Kevin Marshall Cox and wife, Ashley and Brian Campbell; aunts, Kelly Smith and husband, Chris, Amanda Kay Cox and Jennifer Gourley and numerous cousins and extended family. Khloe is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Wendy Kay Cox; paternal great grandparents, John and Alma Chrisco, maternal great grandfather, Clyde Richard Huskey and maternal great grandmother, Judith Church. A memorial service to celebrate their lives will be held 3:00 PM Sunday July 21, 2013 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Paul Speagle and Pastor Bennie Smith. The visitation with reception will follow the service. At other times the family will receive friends at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kadence and Kaley Cox Education Fund, in care of Dennis Cox, 3117 Altamahaw Union Ridge Rd., Burlington, NC 27217.
