Kevin Gerald King, 45, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16th surrounded by his loved ones. A native of Alamance County, he was born July 13, 1977 to the late Gerald King and Donna Kay King who survives.
Kevin worked for Alamance DOT as a supervisor for 25 years displaying a trusting and friendly leadership. He truly lived life to the fullest, through simple pleasures; spending time at the race track, attending his family church Riverside Holiness, where he loved playing the guitar, going on adventures and working on cars with his kids.
Kevin truly enjoyed any moment with family, even on long road trips. Sunday dinner with his mom and family was his most cherished moments. He had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way, he was always known to lend a helping hand.
Kevin was survived by his children, Katelyn Nicole King, Austin Gerald King; mother, Donna King; sisters, Sherri King (Dod Loftis), Angela Fogleman (Dean); nieces, Cindi, Chasity, Kim and his “special” Peyton; nephews, Josh Loftis, Colby Fogleman; two great nieces, five great nephews and his best friend Tommy Morton. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald King; maternal grandparents, Cora and Jack Wrenn; paternal grandparents, Ruth and LC King and his uncles, Roy and Kenny King.
A private graveside service to celebrate Kevin’s life was held 11:00AM on Wednesday at Alamance Memorial Park by Mr. Steven Roberts.
A special thank you to his caregiver, Sherri and his beloved children, Austin “Auti Tu Tu” and his “Katie bug”.
