Kenneth Woody

Kenneth Dean Woody, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Alamance County, on February 26, 1941 to the late James Henry and Dorothy King Woody and was the husband of 58 years to Connie Merritt Woody, who survives.

Dean was a faithful husband, father, and grandfather. He retired from Burlington-Lincoln Mercury after 38 years of service.  He loved fishing, NASCAR, and planting flowers and doing yardwork around the house.  Dean loved his family and his church at Lakeview Community Church and will be missed by all.  He was an avid Duke Blue Devil fan.

Along with his parents, Dean was preceded in death by his brother, James Darrell Woody.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Woody of the home; son, Ken Woody and wife, Connie B. of Burlington; grand-daughter, Kolbe Woody; sister, Janice Woody; sister-in-law, Audrey Woody; good friends of the family:  Chloe Morgan and husband, Daniel and daughter, Mila and Mikayla Peeples and husband, John, Karsen Smyrl, Hannah Smyrl, and Jim Smyrl; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00pm on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at Lakeview Community Church officiated by Dr. Gerald Sanders. The family will receive friends following the service.
