Kenneth Ronald Perry, age 73, of Burlington, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at his home after two years of failing health with the last six months critical.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late Coy Willard Perry, Sr. and the late Juanita Overman Perry and was married for over 49 years to Mrs. Gloria Jean Porter Perry, who survives. Ronald was employed in the textile industry and also construction for many years. He was a US Army veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne Division and was a former member of the "Flying Rebels" Motorcycle Club.
Mr. Perry is survived by his wife of the home; three daughters, Teresa Hensley and her husband, Tim, of Burlington, Wendy P. Jones of Burlington and Cindy House and her husband, Todd, of Mebane; eight grandchildren, Tara (Chris) Matkins, Chris (Meredith) Hensley, Taylor Hensley, Kelsey Jones, Blake Rutledge, Logan House, Tanner House and Ashlee Mitchell Thomas; five great grandchildren and twin boys on the way; a brother, Coy (Janie) Perry, Jr. of Haw River; a sister, Sandra (David) Pollock of Efland; sister-in-law, Linda (Gary) May; and a special nephew, Lynn Wyrick. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John Phillip Perry; and a sister, Barbara P. Wyrick.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
