Kenneth Martin

Mr. Kenneth Edward Martin, age 66, of Burlington, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at his residence.

Born in Wake County, he was the son of the late Macon Edward Martin, Jr. and the late Janice Hardy Martin and was married to Mrs. Rebecca Cheek Martin, who survives.  He retired from AT&T with over 40+ years of service and was of the Baptist faith.  Kenny was an avid NASCAR fan and raced go-carts when he was younger.  He loved his Corvette and was always tinkering in his workshop.  He was a “Jack of all trades” and always wore a smile on his face and was loved by all who knew him.

Mr. Martin is survived by his wife of the home; two daughters, Kristi Martin Farrell and her husband, Anthony, and Heather Martin Perry; three grandchildren, Austin Perry, Kaleigh Farrell and Kole Farrell; a sister, Pamela Martin Jarrett and husband, Jeff; a brother, Steve D. Martin, Sr. and wife, Kathy; and his special four-legged companion, “Holly Noel”.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glenn S. Martin.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
