Kenneth Page

Mr. Kenneth Kneyl Page, age 89, of Graham, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at his residence after several years of declining health.

A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late James Henry Page and the late Bettie Blackwell Page and was happily married for over 53 years to the love of his life, Janice Scott Page, who survives.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.  Following his service to his country he graduated from Elon College with a Bachelor’s Degree.  Kenneth was employed with the U.S. Postal Service in Graham for over 33 years and was honored with the Merit Award for Exemplary Conduct and Exceptional Service.  Following his distinguished career with the Post Office he was later employed with United Electric Company for 15 years before retiring in 2007.  The main focus of his life, other than his family, was his church, First Wesleyan Church of Burlington, where he was a dedicated Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years and the church Treasurer for 30 years.  Kenneth also served in many other areas of the church including the Sunday School Superintendent, the Choir Director and various children’s ministries.  He, his wife and Nina Kepley formed a trio that sang regularly for services and also traveled to many local revivals to offer their talents for the Lord.  Kenneth enjoyed listening to classical music, playing the piano and spending time with his family, especially on family vacations.  He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather and was a friend to all and a stranger to none.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of the home; two sons, Kenneth S. Page and his wife, Tammy and James Kevin Page; a granddaughter, Jordan Alexandra Page; sister-in-law, Dorcus Suits; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Janie P. (Homer) Wilson, James (Macie) Page, Nannie Mae (Winfred) Bancroft; and a half brother, Elijah (Blanche) Page.

A Service to Celebrate his Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 10, 2020 at First Wesleyan Church of Burlington by Rev. Dennis Boone and Rev. Ronald Jones.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Wesleyan Church of Burlington, care of the Window Fund, 304 S. Anthony St., Burlington, NC 27215.
