Kenneth Johnson

Kenneth R. "Kenny" Johnson, 62, of 1648 White's Kennel Rd. went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 4, 2005 at Duke University Medical Center. He was born in Alamance County, son of the late Levert and Selena Sykes Johnson and was married to Judith Capps Johnson. Kenny was a retired truck driver and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where he served as a musician, program coordinator and was a former Sunday school teacher. He is survived by his wife of the home, daughters and son-in-law, Sherry and Paul Blankenship of Ruffin and Donna Hayden of Burlington; special granddaughter, Summer Holland; grandchildren, Cody Blankenship, Cassey Blankenship and Shanna Lea; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Major Jones of Burlington; brother, Richard Melvin Johnson of Southern Pines; and special friends, Edna Younger, Nancy Skenes, Bill and Joyce Gaddy, Nancy Johnson, and Ricky Capps. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Kenneth Eugene Johnson, a daughter, Debbie Lynn Johnson and three brothers. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Cornerstone Baptist Church by Rev. Bill Skenes. Entombment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1005 S.
