Gibsonville – Kenneth Douglas Crouse, Sr., 76, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 30, 2020 at the Hospice Home following a lengthy illness. A native of Alamance County, he was born September 4, 1944 to the late Roy Banks and Violet Walker Crouse and was the husband of 48 years to Gay Dixon Crouse of the home.
Ken was a US Army Veteran. He retired from AT&T as a communications technician and was a member of Crossway Church. He enjoyed yardwork and spending time with family and friends. Through the years Ken has served as a Sunday school teacher, usher, deacon and part of the men’s ministry. Ken faithfully visited shut-ins and truly demonstrated a servant’s heart.
Survivors include his wife, Gay; sons, Kenneth Douglas Crouse, Jr. and wife Sandra of Otter Rock, OR and James Allen Crouse of Corvallis, OR; grandchildren, Rosemary and Jonah; sister, Jean Lemons and husband Rev. Jack Lemons; cousin (like a brother), Mike Greene and wife Jane and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Roger Wayne Crouse.
A service to celebrate Ken’s life will be held 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Garry Yeatts, Rev. Jack Lemons and Mr. Mike Greene. He will be available for viewing from 12-5 on Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. A committal service will be held 11:00 am on Monday, December 7th at Alamance Memorial Park.
