Kayla Ivey

Elon - Kayla Sierra Ivey, 19, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2017 at her home. She was born in Alamance County on November 4, 1997 and was the daughter of James Christopher "Chris" and Crystal Lynn Williams Worrell.
Kayla was involved with youth activities at West Burlington Church of God and Harvest Hills Church of God. She loved music and had a special gift in art which earned her two Silver Key Awards by the State. Kayla enjoyed racing go-carts at Victory Lane and spending time with her dog, "Titan" and rabbit, "Sage". She loved animals of all kinds. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Kayla is survived by her mother, Crystal Lynn Worrell and husband Chris Worrell; father, Steven Douglas Ivey; sister, Jeanni Miles and husband Trent; grandparents, Janet Jimenez and husband Anastacio, Danny Williams and wife Ann, Jane Worrell and Marion Ivey; aunts, Tanya Sosa and husband Ray, Jessica Williams, Lisa Allen, Renee Worrell; uncle, Daniel Williams and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim Worrell and Anna May Ivey.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 4:00pm on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Steve Manuel, Bishop Wayne Miller and Bishop Olin Tatum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
