Ms. Kaye Jarrett Gardner, age 78, of Graham and formerly of Amherst, NH, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at her home after several months of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Marshall Jarrett and the late French Cook Jarrett. She was retired from Sun Trust Bank with over 20 years of service and was a longtime member of Westminister Presbyterian Church, where she was involved in the Yesterday's Girls Sunday School Class and was a former member of the Day Circle and the Congregational Session. Kaye was also an avid reader, baker and gardener. Ms. Gardner is survived by her two daughters, Lee Thunberg and her husband, Eric, of East Falmouth, MA and Bonnie L. Gardner of Waynesville, NC; two granddaughters, Megan Thunberg of Dover, NH and Molly Thunberg of Franklin, NH; four sisters, Carol Tate of Newton, NC, Melba Chou Isley and her husband, Joe, of Snow Camp, Amy Jarrett of Cary, NC and Marsha Holt and her husband, Fred, of Raleigh; and two nephews, Rick Tate of Newton and Randal Chou of Charlotte. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Westminster Presbyterian Church by Rev. Powell Sykes. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
