Kathy Byerly

Elon-Kathy Sue Byerly, 56 went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 2, 2019. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of the late Walter Levi Byerly and Edith Gilbert Byerly.

Kathy was a special daughter and sister to her family. She enjoyed life and was a part of the Celebration Singers for several years. She was a member of Ossipee Baptist where she attended with her family.

Survivors include her sisters, Peggy Jean Mansfield and Betty Sue Byerly both of Elon; Debbie Sue Burnette of Richmond, Virginia; brothers, Walter Levi Byerly, Jr. of Burlington and Jerry Lee Byerly of Elon. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Faye Maria Byerly and her brother, Joseph “Joe” Edward Byerly.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:00PM at Lowe funeral Home by Rev. David Satterfield. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45PM on Saturday prior to the service. The burial will follow the service at Magnolia Cemetery in Elon. The family will be at her sister’s home located at 2533 Bridgeview Road, Elon, NC at other times.
