Kathryn Smith

Whitsett Kathryn Rudd Smith, 56 went home to be with the Lord Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Hospice Home. A native of Alamance County, she was born September 30, 1958 to James Marshall and Annie Elizabeth Campbell Rudd and was the wife of 31 years to Mark Anthony Smith of the home. Kathryn was a member of Westover Church in Greensboro where she was the co-founder of the Westover Cancer Support Group and the Care Ministries. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of the home, her daughter, Marsha Foust and husband, Bradley of Graham; a granddaughter, Cora Foust; a sister, Deborah Jordan; a niece, Kelly Westbrook and husband, Jason and a nephew, Adam Jordan. A celebration of Kathryn's life will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Don Miller with the interment to follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday at the funeral home and other times at their home in the Stoney Creek Community.
