Kathryn Louise Richmond Paschal, 74, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2024 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 30, 1950 in Greenbrier County, WV to the late Homer Richmond and Alma Faye Bennett Richmond Kessler. Kathryn was the wife of 50 years to John Wayne Paschal, Sr. who survives.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed all types of crafts, painting, sewing, quilting and going to the beach. Kathryn was proud of her Native American Heritage and enjoyed going to the Native American Pow Wow’s. But most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors other than her husband, John Wayne Paschal, Sr. include her daughter, Stephanie Paschal and husband Benjamin Gray; a son, John Wayne Paschal, Jr.; one grandson, Jonathan Gray; her siblings, Carolyn R. Cales, Rose Richmond, Larry Richmond, Diane R. Smith, Rebecca “Becky” R. Warren, Ralph Darrell Kessler and Loretta Lynn Kessler; brothers-in-law, C.L. Bunce and Dennis R. Paschal, Jr. and wife Kay; and numerous nieces and nephews. Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; a step father, Ralph Kessler; son-in-law, Jonathan Ryan McClure; a sister, Phyllis Bunce; a brother, Chester Bennett and a niece, Amy Miller.
The cryptside service to celebrate Kathryn’s life will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Alamance Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
