Kathryn Jones

Kathryn Power Jones, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at the Hospice Home. She was the wife of William Paul Jones for fifty-six years. Kathryn was born January 8, 1925 to the late James Lawson and Jessie Carr Power in Worsham, Virginia and was reared in Pittsylvania County. She earned her RN degree and worked at Piedmont General Hospital and as relief at Kernodle Clinic in later years. Kathryn was a member of First United Methodist Church in Graham where she was a member of the Young at Heart Club and the T.J. Whitehead Sunday School Class. Survivors include her husband of the home and a daughter Diana Harris of Gibsonville. She was preceded in death by a daughter Paula Kathryn Jones Fields, her parents, five sisters and five brothers. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Ken Hall. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
