Kathleen Foster

Kathleen Moore Foster, 90, formerly of Steele St. passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014 at White Oak Manor. She was the wife of the late Matthew Foster and was born January 12, 1925 in Rockingham County to the late Robert Ernest and Lou Ellen Patterson Moore. She had retired from Cone Mills Minneola Plant after thirty-seven years of service. Kathleen was a very active member at First Baptist Church of Gibsonville and she helped feed lunch at the Gibsonville Senior Center for over twenty years. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include a daughter Drusilla Eddie Wilson of Elon, sons; Mike Debbie Foster of Burlington Jerry Foster and fiance Amy Bowers of Gibsonville, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and eight siblings. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. J. Mark Aheron. Interment will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home of her daughter.
