Katherine Roser

Katherine Ann Hoffmann Roser, 86, passed away in her sleep Monday, November 27, 2017 at her home in the Twin Lakes Community.
A native of Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of Henry G. and Katherine D. Hoffmann, both deceased. She graduated from Conrad High School in 1948, and started her career at Delaware Power & Light Co. In 1952, she joined DuPont in the Textile Fibers Dept., retiring in 1991 after 35 years of service. Before moving to Burlington to be closer to family, she was a member of St. Matthew R.C. Church, an officer of the Hershey Run Condo Assoc., secretary of the Mayfair Investors club, volunteer with the Delaware Money Management program, and member of the Fraim Senior Center. She was an avid reader, and one of the best trivia partners you could ever have.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn R. Watt, and her fiancé, Daryl E. Garner, of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her son, Stephen A. Roser; daughters, Susan R. Grimble and Sarah R. Bukowski; and brothers, Henry G. Hoffmann, Jr. and Michael Hoffmann.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the May Foley Chapel at Twin Lakes by Father Briant Cullinane, O.F.M., Conv. The family will receive friends following the service.
