Karise Ray

Karise Gena Ray, 31, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Duke University Medical Center following several years of declining health. She was born April 22, 1984 in Chatham County to Allen and Affie Ray. Survivors include her parents of the home; sisters, Sala Pradhan and husband Ashutosh of Jacksonville, FL, Abigail Davidson and husband Daniel of Winston-Salem; a brother Seth Ray and wife Leilani of Raleigh; maternal grandfather Dick Kern of Roanoke Rapids, NC and three nieces, Nina and Aanya Pradhan and Emerson Ray. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Ruby Alford; paternal grandparents Ruffin and Gena Ray. Karise's family would like to thank the physicians and hospital staff @ ARMC, WFBH and DUMC for their dignified and compassionate care. The family will receive friends 5:00 -7:00 PM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home. There will be a private service at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Feed the Hunger, P.O. Box 2347 Burlington, NC 27216. We are so grateful for the time on this earth we had with our daughter, sister and aunt.
