Karen Teague

Karen Cheek Teague, age 55, of 1009 S. Church St., passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011 at her home. Born in Lake Charles, LA, she is the wife of Michael Harold Teague and son of Lewis Ray and Patricia Songy Cheek. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and a former waitress. Survivors include her husband, Michael Teague of the home; parents Ray and Patricia Songy Cheek of Burlington; brothers, Kenneth Ray Cheek, Sr. and wife Becky of Mebane, David Lewis Cheek of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Pamela Cheek Wase and husband Marty of Pine Bluff, Linda Cheek Darst of Walnut Cove and Wendy Cheek Cavalier and husband Josh of Charlotte and 11 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Cheek. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm Saturday February 26, 2011 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by The Very Reverend Robert Benko, O.F.M., Conv.. Burial will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory following the memorial service and at other times the home of the parents, 414 W. Fifth St. Burlington.
