Karen Bartlett

Graham - Karen Sims Bartlett, 67, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Alamance County on January 21, 1950 to the late Elmo Sims and Dorothy Rudd Sims King.

Karen retired after 32 years with Bellsouth. She enjoyed traveling, spending time at the beach and at the farm.

Karen is survived by her son, Joseph Brian Miles; granddaughter, Kayleigh Marie Miles; dearest friend, Reginald Gray; sister, Patsy Clapp and husband, Jerry; brothers, Elmo Sims, Jr. and wife, Hilda, Roger Sims and wife, Ceila; aunt, Ruthie Rudd; cousins, Lisa Miller, Tammy Page and Louise Gravely; and her extended family, Megan Gray and friend, Corey, Heather Littles and husband, Anthony, their children, AJ and Aubrey Littles; and her canine companion, "Boo".

The celebration of life service will be held at 6:00pm Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Herbert Brown. The family will receive friends following the service with a reception and other times at the home.
