Kahwana Allen

Kahwana Sharpe Allen, formerly of May St. passed away Wednesday July 21, 2010 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Carl Neal Allen, Sr. and was born March 9, 1937 in Alamance County to the late Luther Monroe and Josephine Allen Sharpe. Survivors include her daughter Karla Overman of Gibsonville, a son Neal Allen and his wife Jane of Burlington, grandchildren; Chelsea Shrum, Jonathan Overman, Paul Shrum and a great granddaughter Simpson. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers Russell Sharpe and Donnie Sharpe. The funeral will be held 12:00 noon Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Leon Saul Interment will follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10:45-11:45 AM Saturday prior to the service and at other times at the home of her daughter 511 May St. in Gibsonville.
