Junior Knight

Elon, NC Junior Gray June Knight, age 74, of 3788 Milesville Road went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2006 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Rockingham County and the husband of the late Geneva Wilkinson Knight. June was a retired farmer in the Southern Caswell County. He was a member of Kerrs Chapel Baptist Church where he served as a former Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. Survivors include his sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Helen Runyan of Sunnyvale, California, Sarah Sis Jesse of Greensboro, Frances Rice and Lila Herry both of Elon, Patsy Jeffries and her husband, Kenneth of Burlington, numerous nieces and nephews; Uncle, Johnnie Payne of Stokesdale and Aunt, Flora Still of Winston-Salem. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, James Enoch and Nannie Payne Knight; brothers, James Enoch Knight, Jr., Carlyle, Gurney and Carlton Knight. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Kerrs Chapel Baptist Church by Rev. Marvin Simpson and the burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of Ricky and Pam Ward, 3662 Kerrs Chapel Road.
