June Perry

June Metcalf Perry, 86, of Lyon Tree Lane passed away Sunday, October 4, 2009 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. She was the wife of Jackson Bobbitt Perry and was born May 10, 1923 in Madison County, NC to the late Thomas Jefferson and Nell Davis Metcalf. She retired from UNC Hospital after many years of service. Survivors include her husband of the home, a daughter Jane Perry Robert Marks of Durham, a son Timothy Jay Perry of Mebane, sisters; Mary Gates of Rougemont, NC, Clara Evans of Holly Springs, NC, Virginia Stuckey of Winston-Salem, NC, brothers; John Metcalf of Lynchburg, VA, Paul Metcalf of Alexander, VA, Bill Metcalf of Ashland, VA, Wendell Metcalf of Appomattox, VA, Harold Metcalf of Raleigh, NC Tom Metcalf of Lynchburg, VA and two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings. The graveside will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Robert Adcock.
