June Carol Gates Allison, 75, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 15, 1945 in Alamance County to the late Willie R. “Pete” Gates and Gracie Mae Wright Gates.
She retired after 35 years with Kayser-Roth Hosiery. June was a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church where she loved her church family and friends. She always enjoyed getting together with the Gibsonville Seniors; loved flowers and her vegetable garden, enjoyed crafts, going on trips to the beach and the mountains, and mostly adored and loved her family.
June is survived by her daughter, Sue Allison Rabon and husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Allyson (Dustin) Morton, Jeremy (Kaitlyn) Satterfield, Hannah Woods, Kimberly Woods and Dylan Woods; great grandchildren, Brody Satterfield, Finley Satterfield and Raylan Morton; sisters, Dianne Mann and Sherry Troxler; and her special friend, Flonnie Moize. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Judy Cutler and Sandra Brown; and a brother, Danny Gates.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Bud Wrenn with the burial to follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery by Rev. Dr. Barry Lemons. June will be available for viewing from 8:00am to 1:45pm Sunday prior to the service and other times at the daughter’s home. The service will be live streamed.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the hospice nurses and staff that took care of June at her residence and at the Hospice Home, for all their loving care and compassion that was shown to June during her illness.
