Julia Callis

Mrs. Julia Sullivan Callis, age 92, of Burlington, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell after several weeks of failing health.
Born in Wake County she was the daughter of the late Cornelius Garfield Sullivan and the late Ethel Desern Sullivan and was married to the late Rev. Cecil Clarence Callis, who passed away in 2014. She was a career homemaker, for which her family was her main focus, and was of the Presbyterian faith.
Mrs. Callis is survived by her three daughters, Cecile Callis, Robin Bailey and her husband, William, and Christy Callis; two grandchildren, Melissa Bailey and Geoffrey Bailey; and a brother, Jack Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister and two brothers.
The family will conduct a private memorial service at a later date.
