Gibsonville – Judy Lane Montgomery Scarborough, 70, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Moses Cone Hospital.  She was born in Cabarrus County on August 25, 1951 to the late James Edward Montgomery and Vera Lee Hatley Montgomery Myers and was the wife of 42 years to the late Larry Mitchell Scarborough.

Judy was a longtime member of West Burlington Church of God. She enjoyed trips to the beach and mountains with her husband.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include sons, Rodney Gene, Daniel Ray (Tammy), Larry Scott; daughter, Christina JoAnn (Jay); nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; brother, Rick Montgomery (Patsy) and her twin sister, JoAnn Shoe (Robert).  A service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 21,2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Olin Tatum with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service on Tuesday.

***The family request that everyone wear mask for the safety of all those in attendance at the visitation and the funeral services.***
