Judy Smith

Burlington, NC Judy May Smith, age 64, of 2235 Lakeview Terrace died at her home on Tuesday, January 3, 2006. She was a native of Alamance County, and the loving wife and best friend for 25 years of Ronald F. Ron Smith, with whom she was the co-owner of Haw River Discount Drugs. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening in her spare time. She was a dreamer, and she believed in the good in all people. Her family, who loved her dearly, was the sole reason for her existence. The best gift she could ever recieve was the smile she could make on someones face. We will always feel her loving smile as she looks down on us, and we will live each day reflecting the love, beauty, and confidence of this very extraordinary woman. She leaves behind her husband Ronald F. Ron Smith of the home; her brother Bill May; daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Garry Gates of Elon, Suzanne Marie Everette of Hillsborough, Jennifer and Michael Mock of Burlington, and Stephanie and Tom Haney of Granite Falls, NC; step sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Nikki Smith of Burlington, and Nathan and Miranda Smith of Randleman. Dear to her heart were her grandchildren: Amanda, Carey, Anna, Laura, Mikaela, Samantha, Zack, and Eleanor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle J. And Jessie Lee Mann May, and her sister, Kay May Loy. A private service to celebrate Judys life will be held at a later date. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
