Gibsonville – Judy Gabriel Hooker Evans who was born February 27, 1941, went home to Jesus on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 3:40 pm from Annie Penn Hospital. She was a native of Elon and moved to Kerrs Chapel Road in Gibsonville, NC. She was married to the late Buddy Evans and daughter of the late Cecil and Nancy Gabriel.
Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. She was an awesome mother who never chose one over the other. Her laugh brightened the world. She will be missed.
Judy joins her husband, Buddy Evans, son; Perry Hooker, daughter-in-law Anita Hooker, and grandson, Brandon Crochet in heaven. She is survived by her brothers, Mike (Sandra) and David (Jennifer), sons, Paul (Kay) and Lee Hooker, daughter, Debbie Hooker (Mike), Grandchildren, Jasmyn (Junji), Tia, Pasquale (Paul Jr), Carissa, and great grandchildren, Makayla, Jordan, Alec, Conner, and Baby Yokota.
Judy retired from Elon University with over 30 years of service. As a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church, she believed in the Lord as her savior and will be greeted by her husband at the beautiful Pearly gates of Heaven.
Exodus 23:20 “See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.”
A Graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Monday, February 28, 2022 at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home
